Oh Fishy, Fishy, Fishy, Fish….Updated!

I saw a post on The Corner yesterday about the Obama Administration looking for “fishy” information about the Health Care Debate aka Tax My Life Away.  Blue Crab Boulevard suggests sending them emails of fish.

That’s cool and all, but I’m sending them the Monty Python Fishy skit (below).  It is vastly more informative about finding fishiness.

Either way, the administration needs emails of fishy things, email here: flag@whitehouse.gov

Updated with the email I sent:

To Whom It May Concern,
I learned of the Administration’s call for fishy information on the Health Care Legislation currently before the Congress.  In an effort to be of assistance, I am forwarding this website, which I believe qualifys.
Thank you for your efforts,
Vivian Saavedra
Update:
I’m also sending them this every day, at least once.
The Privacy Act of 1974
The Privacy Act of 1974, 5 U.S.C. § 552a, establishes a code of fair information practices that governs the collection, maintenance, use, and dissemination of personally identifiable information about individuals that is maintained in systems of records by federal agencies. A system of records is a group of records under the control of an agency from which information is retrieved by the name of the individual or by some identifier assigned to the individual. The Privacy Act requires that agencies give the public notice of their systems of records by publication in the Federal Register. Click here to see a list of DOJ systems of records and their Federal Register citations. The Privacy Act prohibits the disclosure of information from a system of records absent the written consent of the subject individual, unless the disclosure is pursuant to one of twelve statutory exceptions. The Act also provides individuals with a means by which to seek access to and amendment of their records, and sets forth various agency record-keeping requirements.

Here’s how to automatically send a growing daily stream of junk email to flag@whitehouse.gov:

    1. Set up a gmail account (mail.google.com) just for this purpose.

    2. Sign up for a bunch of free, email-generating web services (eg. Google Alerts) using the gmail account.

    3. Adjust your gmail settings: under “Settings->Forwarding and POP/IMAP”, select “Forward a copy of incoming mail to”, then fill in flag@whitehouse.gov

    4. Tell your friends how they too can fight against intimidation and abuse of power.

It’s time to hit back, ten times as hard. Every day.

You didn’t send him a fish biscuit? How neglectful of you. LoL. Do you need me to send you a freedom of information form? Think of all the fun you can have with that.
