Remakes – Another Sign Of Impending Cultural Doom

I think it’s the endlessness of the remakes.  It’s not like new stories aren’t out there.  Okay, I get it, Twilight sucks.  Yes. As do all the other silly vampire movies.

But, now, to remake FOOTLOOSE? Rilly?

Until you people find some new material or maybe find some new writers, please do not remake the following movies:

  • Sixteen Candles
  • The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
  • The Lion in Winter
  • Casablanca
  • The Quiet Man
  • Gunga Din

Also, please note, there are many stories out there you haven’t bothered to tell. Like Voytek, the Warrior Bear. There are thousands of stories, non-fiction and fiction, that are fresh, wonderful, exciting and good.

Not like Saw 12 won’t make you money. But really? Torture Porn?

Seriously, how is it you people can make endless crappy movies about annoying talking animals and you ignore a true story about a BEAR WHO FOUGHT NAZIS?  How do you miss this? Actual bear, really happened, and instead you make 11 sequels to The Land Before Time.  TWELVE FRICKING ANIMATED DINOSAUR MOVIES THAT ALL STINK!!!!  And over here you’ve got a bear who carries ammo to his Polish Army resistance buddies who smokes and drinks and wrestles with them. Better ignore the fabulous bear story and go with Footloose.

Hollywood, you make no dang sense.
