I am still reading the Grand Jury report in the Gosnell case. I am deeply angry at these bureaucrats for the appalling and obvious intentional negligence of the state workers at Pennsylvania’s Department of Health and Department of State.
From the report (emphasis mine):
With a call to the Department of Health, the Board’s attorneys could have known immediately of at least one other prosecutable offense: Gosnell violated the Abortion Control Act by not reporting Ms. Shaw’s death to the Department of Health. For this offense, the Board of Medicine had the authority to suspend or revoke Gosnell’s license. The state prosecutors, however, clearly had no interest in investigating Gosnell, much less holding him accountable for the crime spree that he called a medical practice.
The more I read, the angrier I get. Pennsylvania’s overseers refused to do their job and they allowed an abomination to occur on their watch, on their ground in the name of “access to abortion”. All these people should lose their jobs and face prosecution for dereliction of duty. Pennsylvania has tighter regulation and oversight of nail salons that abortion clinics. Let’s discuss the politics that drives THAT, shall we?
