On the 70th Anniversary of the beginning of WWII I’d like to celebrate the life and testimony of a hero of mine, Darlene Deibler Rose.
Mrs. Rose was a missionary in New Guinea at the outbreak of WWII, soon she was a prisoner of the Japanese. She spent nearly the entirety of the war as a prisoner, eventually being accused as a spy and sentenced to death.
Her story is detailed in the book Evidence Not Seen. I really can’t recommend it enough. Amazing.
Below is the audio of her testimony. It’s the best hour and 17 minutes you will ever spend.
