Business is Business…Or Is It?

Edward Whitacre Jr. is waiting to head GM when the company finally exits bankruptcy.  Mr. Whitacre headed AT&T previously.

General Motors makes cars.  AT&T provides telecommunications.  Mr. Whitacre admits he knows nothing about cars.

Stephen Rattner, the cloaked, hooded and perpetually unavailable and unaccountable Car Czar, was formerly a financial products guy at Quadrangle.

General Motors makes cars.  Quadrangle Group buys movies like Chooch.  Mr. Rattner admits that he has driven cars.

Brian Deese, formerly a law student, is now in charge of the Automotive Task Force and the dismantling of GM.  Young Master Deese has played with matchbox cars.  Recently.

General Motors makes actual cars with motors.  Matchbox cars don’t have a motor.

Not one person in “charge” of the process of turning General Motors into Government Motors has any experience in MOTORS.

I miss Studebaker.

  1. Phelps says:

From Obama’s collection of campaign lies entitled “Blueprint for America”:

“Reform the Political Appointee Process: FEMA Director Michael Brown was not qualified to head the agency, and the result was a disaster for the people of the Gulf Coast. But in an Obama administration, every official will have to rise to the standard of proven excellence in the agency’s mission.”

    Under ETHICS.
