vaults

let us remove to the last vault of time,
tear away all of your pain,
hold the days closer, they’re slipping away,
see, i’ve forgotten again.
carousels wished for and dreams lay abandoned,
fields of rusted decay.
whispers of song birds will tell the whole story,
evening light fading away.

One Response to vaults

  1. Emmy says:

That was amazingly beautiful- and even before I read your comment at the end, I heard it to music.
I wonder if the melody was close to the one you heard writing it.

You should publish. I should illustrate.
