I’m still pondering what I think of the whole economic mess. What I do know is that the screeching from the HoR yesterday by one Nancy Pelosi was unhingedly and historically wrong. Today I’m asking you to do the research, you can find the hearings from 2004 on Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae where the very people who are screaming that the Republicans created this mess are on record saying that the two FM’s are fine, just fine. Go back and search through to find warnings of this mess from the Clinton era. You can do it, I did. It’s easy.
So, for now, I’m satisfied that the bill failed. Maybe I’m wrong. But maybe it’s the very thing we need to straigten out this mess, a severe correction.
All I will say is that the very rallying cry from the left “More Regulation!” is exactly what caused this whole credit meltdown in the first place. If you read all the stuff, and I mean ALL the stuff, then you will see.
Other than that, it’s going to rain today. Again. With the rain.
