The First Flowers of Spring

My snowdrops (Galanthus) have been peeking through the ground for a few weeks now.  The last week has seen two storms, one snow and one ice.  Last night I went outside to check on something and heard rain, only none was falling.  Then I realized that the sound was the ice melting off the trees.

Allow me to introduce you to my Galanthus:

And now, please meet the first Crocus:

This is my lonely garden, covered in straw, waiting for spring.

Now my first Garden report of the 2008 season officially ends.  Upcoming events include pea planting, weeding, bed digging and pest slaughter.
Have a lovely day!

*Figured out how to post them, finally!
